Upon research before reading, phrases such as “Fair is foul and foul is fair” and images of daggers and bloody crowns would show up. At the time, I didn’t understand their relevance, but now having finished the story, I have seen the importance of these symbols and quotes. Macbeth is a play that is at times, action-packed and at others, somber and deeply reflective of human nature.
