There are many similarities in the standards set for men in Macbeth’s time as compared to those of today. However, I feel like our world today is opening up room for men to expand their roles in society instead of confining them to one traditional stereotype. Granted, such oppression still exist and it’s an issue that boys/men of all ages deal with at one point or another in their lives. However, in my opinion, the term “be a man” will probably stop having the connotations that it does in he future.
